Admission process for first year Degree/Senior college:

Admission is purely on merit and is subject to the availability of seats as per the directions issued by the University of Mumbai and Government of Maharashtra from time to time.

Admission criteria for B.Sc (Information Technology) & B.Sc (Computer Science)

a) F.Y.B.Sc (IT)

This is an integrated three year full time course & conducted in six semesters. A candidate for being eligible for admission for this course shall have passed XII standard examination of Maharashtra Board of Higher secondary examination or its equivalent with mathematics as one subject & should have secured not less than 45% marks aggregate in case of open category candidates & 40% marks aggregate in case of reserved category candidates at one attempt.

F.Y.B.Sc (Computer Science)

A candidate for being eligible for admission to F.Y.B.Sc (Computer Science) must have passed the higher secondary school certificate(H.S.C) examination in science stream or equivalent examination with mathematics as one of the subjects and must have secured not less than 40% marks aggregate in case of open category.

b) List of documents to be attached along with application form:

Candidates seeking admission must submit application form completed in all respects in office as per schedule /dates announced by Principal of the college. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

i) Class XII std Original and three attested copies of mark sheet. Caste certificate (if applicable) and 2 –passport size photographs

ii) Students from other institute ions will be required to submit their leaving/transfer certificate.

iii) Those passing the HSC of any other board/university, have to submit the

PROVISIONAL ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE from the University of Mumbai.

c) Cancellation of admission:

If a student cancels his/her admissions appropriate refunds are allowed as per the University of Mumbai or government of Maharashtra rules.

Deposits:

The amount of caution money , library deposit , laboratory deposit if any will be refunded when a student leaves a college or cancels the admission.

Direct Second year Admission: Students who have completed their first year B.Sc (IT) / B.Sc (CS) through distance education /diploma in engineering can be admitted to second year directly based on the availability of seats in second year.

Admission criteria for BMS (Bachelor Of Management Studies)

a) Minimum 45 % at the XII std examination conducted by Maharashtra Board of higher secondary education or any other examination recognized as equivalent.

b) Class XII std original and three attested copies of mark sheet .

c) Caste certificate (if applicable)

d) 2-passport size photographs.

e) Those passing the HSC of any other board/university, have to submit the PROVISIONAL ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE from the University of Mumbai.

Admission criteria for BMM (Bachelors in Mass Media)

a) Minimum 40 % at the XII std examination conducted by Maharashtra Board of higher secondary education or any other examination recognized as equivalent.

b) Class XII std original and three attested copies of mark sheet Caste certificate (if applicable)

c) 2-passport size photographs.

d) Those passing the HSC of any other board/university, have to submit the PROVISIONAL ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE from the University of Mumbai.

Admission criteria for B.COM (Bachelors in Commerce)

· Passed at the XII std examination conducted by Maharashtra Board of higher secondary education or any other examination recognized as equivalent.

· Class XII std original and three attested copies of mark sheet

· Caste certificate (if applicable)

· 2-passport size photographs of those passing the HSC of any other board/university, have to submit the PROVISIONAL ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE from the University of Mumbai.

Credit System Rules & Regulations:

The Scheme of Examination shall be divided into two components: Internal assessment and

External assessment (semester end examination) for each course of the program. Internal

Assessment includes Assignments, Seminars, Case Studies, Quizzes, Viva, Open book test,

Unit Tests etc. For each course, there is a passing minimum for internal Assessment as 40%

(16 out of 40 marks), for External / Semester End Examination 40% (24 out of 60 marks) and

overall 40% (40 out of 100 marks).

Admission process for first year Junior college [XI]:

Admission is granted solely on merit and as per the government rules. Outstanding sports persons and children of police/ defense/ ex-defense personals and from the handicapped category are given weightage.

CLASS:

· First Year Junior college (XI)

Qualifying Examination:

· SSC examination of MSBSHSE or any other equivalent examination by recognized board.

Documents required for admission

· Original Mark sheet of SSC examination.

· Three attested Xerox copies of SSC mark sheet.

· Original and three attested Xerox of School leaving certificate

· Original and three attested Xerox of Caste certificate (if applicable)

· Three recent passport size photos.

· Students passing from ICSE/CBSC or SSC from any other board have to submit the ‘PROVISIONAL ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE’ from MSBSHSE.

 

Admission process for SECOND year Junior college [XII]:

CLASS:

· Second Year Junior college (XII)

Qualifying Examination:

· FYJC examination of any junior college recognized by MSBSHSE.

Documents required for admission

· Original Mark sheet of S.S.C

· Original Mark sheet of FYJC.

· Three attested Xerox of mark sheet of FYJC.

· Three recent passport size photos.

· Students passing from any other recognized institute will be required to submit their leaving/transfer certificate/NOC certificate and Caste certificate ( if applicable)
